Nature Quest (Vision Quest) is a sacred four-day rite of passage in which questers enter the woods in solitude, fasting and praying to seek clarity, renewal, purpose, and deeper alignment with the natural world. This is a time of listening, remembering, and allowing the Land to teach.
We currently have space for two more Nature Questers / Seekers to sit in this upcoming Quest. We are also welcoming experienced supporters (from our neighboring communities) to help tend the space and hold the ceremonial container. While each quester is ultimately responsible for finding their own supporter, we offer guidance and assistance when possible to ensure all are held with care, respect, and reverence on this path..
🌿 Seeking Experienced Ceremony Supporters
We are calling in seasoned supporters who have previously assisted with last year’s Nature Quest, Vision Quests, and/or Moon Dances to serve during this transformative experience. Your presence will be integral to holding the energy of this sacred journey.
Ways to Support:
🌀 Circle Keepers – Hold space in prayer, meditation, song, sacred smoke, eating nourishing foods in the questors’ names to offer the energy of strength and guidance to the questers.
🌿 Ground Keepers – Assist with the preparation and upkeep of ceremonial spaces, the 🔥 fire never goes out, ensuring harmony between the Land, Questors, and Supporters.
💧 Reentry Support – Welcome questers back in celebration with love and care as they transition from solitude to community.
The Nature Quest Fast will also include multiple Purification Lodges, and those serving as supporters may be invited to assist in their facilitation and it’s mandatory to participate in them.
Supporter Contributions & Camp Donations
If you are joining as a supporter, camp dues are based on your length of stay:
- Full Ceremony (Thursday–Sunday): $300 per person for quester or supporter.
- One-Day (Thursday – or – Sunday, no overnight): $75 per person | $130 per family of 4
- Full Ceremony – Family of Four (Thursday–Sunday): $380

Embrace the sacred energy of the Fall Equinox as we come together for a day of prayer, purification, and reconnection. Guided by Taino elder Behike Miguel Sague, this profound ceremony will lead us through the cycles of life, death, and rebirth as we honor Yoka Hu’s descent to the watery underworld, a pivotal moment in the ceremonial cycle of the cemies. Through prayer, dance, and reflection, we create space for healing, gratitude, and renewal in alignment with the seasonal shift.
🍂 Ceremony Details
🌟 Dress for Ceremony and Lodge:
Participants are encouraged to wear their traditional naguas (or white ceremonial attire) for the Taíno teachings and ceremonies led by Miguel Sague. Additionally, please bring separate modest attire for the Purification Lodge.
To learn more about the significance of purification lodges, please visit our Guanara Lodge Protocol.
🌽 Sacred Offerings for the Ceremony:
We invite participants to bring any of the four sacred Taino foods:
- Green squash
- Black beans
- Cassava
- Yellow corn
Additionally, cornmeal for the Purification Lodge and or the traditional honorable gift of tobacco for our Behike and/or Land stewards is encouraged. Participants may also bring personal altar items to be placed during the ceremony. These sacred offerings help amplify our prayers and intentions.
🥘 Potluck Community Meal:
During the ceremony, we will share a communal potluck meal. Participants are invited to bring a prepared dish to contribute. While potluck foods do not need to be from the four sacred Taino foods, we encourage offerings that reflect your love and gratitude for the community.
