As the veil between worlds grows thin, we enter the sacred warmth of the Purification Lodge to honor our ancestors, release grief, and call in guidance.
This Día de los Muertos ceremony is a time to remember those who came before, to feel their presence, and to offer our prayers through steam, sweat, song, and silence.

🛌 Overnight camping available in the Itaino communal camping areas
🏞️ Location: Taíno Woods Sanctuary, Harris, NY
As the season shifts and the land prepares for rest, we gather one final time this year to tend, clean, and offer our gratitude. This is a weekend of closing out the space with love—putting tools to rest, honoring what has grown, and making offerings to the spirits of the land before winter’s stillness sets in.
🌱 We’ll share warmth, laughter, and labor as we:
- Pack away tools and supplies we need all hands on land
- Clear fallen branches and prep pathways
- Make offerings to the land and fire
- Share a communal potluck and fire circle
🧺 What to Bring:
For Both Days:
- Sturdy shoes or boots
- Work gloves
- Clothes to sweat with shorts and a shirt or modest dress skirt and blouse
- Layers of clothes for cold autumn weather
- Packed meals and snacks (see below for camping needs)
- Reusable water bottle & plenty of drinking water
- Natural bug repellent
- Prayerful presence and a joyful spirit
For Overnight Camping:
- Tent, sleeping bag, and overnight gear
- Warm, dry layers for chilly nights and mornings
- Pot luck breakfast and dinner items
- Personal comfort items and toiletries
- Flashlight or headlamp
💚 Love donation for the teachings and to maintain the space. Contributions to support firewood, food, and land maintenance are welcome. Donate here: help us tend the roots of this sacred space.
Let us close the season in community; caring for the Land that has held our ceremonies, laughter, and all of our transformations and growth. 🍂🔥🌀
