April at Taíno Woods Sanctuary — Tending What Has Begun 🌿🌑
Tai Guey Itainos! 🌿
The crossing has happened. The prayers have been spoken. The fire has been lit.
From our Spring Equinox Lodge, we welcomed the rebirth of Yocahú, standing in balance as day and night met. Together we sang, danced, entered the lodge, and planted seeds — not only in the land, but within ourselves.
Now April asks something different of us.
Not to begin… but to tend what has already begun.
🌸 Gratitude for the Equinox Gathering
Hahom to all who came to sit in prayer with us. To Behike Miguel Sagué Jr., our Elders, fire keepers, song sharers, dancers, and every hand that helped prepare and hold the space — your presence made the ceremony alive.
What was planted that day continues to grow.
The work now is to stay in relationship with it.
🌿 Land Stewardship — The Work Continues
After ceremony, we returned to the land. Gathering wood, clearing space, preparing the grounds — not as labor, but as prayer in action.
The land is calling for helping hands.
In tending her, we remember ourselves.
The land is still in need of wood splitting, wood gathering, water, and blankets to be cleaned for our up coming lodges. Please email events@tainowoods.com for the days you can join us.
🌑 New Moon Purification Lodge
📅 Saturday, April 18, 2026
🕘 Arrival 9:00 AM | Fire 🔥 lighting 10:00 AM
As we gather in the New Moon, we return to the womb of Atabeyra — a space for releasing, remembering, and renewing.
This is a time to lay down what no longer serves and rise with clarity and intention.
🌿 Stay Overnight & Steward the Land
Join us Sunday, April 19 to continue the work.
When we tend the land, we also tend ourselves.
