🙏 Community Gratitude & Highlights

Deep gratitude to Behike Miguel Sague for his powerful teachings, leadership, and presence at the Summer Solstice Dance. His far-reaches as a cultural beacon of Taíno wisdom continue to guide and uplift our community. We are profoundly blessed by the way he carries and shares the ancestral teachings with clarity, devotion, and deep reverence for Atabeyra and All Relations.

One of the most joyful moments of the evening came as the children gathered around the drum, lifting their voices in song. At first hesitant, they walked back and forth with curiosity before fully jumping in; sharing their joy, rhythm, and prayers with all of us. Their energy became the heartbeat of the circle, and we were truly blessed by their light.

To all who danced, prayed, served, and supported this sacred gathering – thank you. It is a gift to walk this journey with each of you.

We also want to extend huge gratitude to all of our new and returning paid members! Your membership fuels our gatherings, supports the Land, and helps us sustain this vision. The TWS T-shirt giveaway was a beautiful success, and we’re overjoyed to welcome new members into our growing circle of Calm-Unity.

🌿 Summer Practice: Sunrise Breath Offering

This month, we invite you into a simple daily ritual to stay rooted in rhythm with the season:

At sunrise, face the Sobaiko (The East is represented by the color yellow, and the Guaraguao (Hawk)) – direction of illumination – and offer a deep breath in gratitude. You may speak a short prayer, such as:

“Yoka Hu, spirit of the Sun, I welcome your light. Atabeyra, great Mother, I thank you for this day. May I walk in clarity, balance, and love.”

If you feel called, offer a splash of water to Mother Earth in blessing. These small acts of reverence align us with the natural world and the teachings of our ancestors.
