The Drumbeat of Summer

Tai Guey Itainos, 🔥

July carries a different rhythm.

The gardens are growing. The river runs warm. The songs linger longer around the fire. The work of Spring has become the abundance of Summer, and the prayers we planted are beginning to show themselves in unexpected ways.

This season reminds us that community is not something we attend — it is something we build together. Hahom to Miguel Sague Jr. & M’anawa Kuya Ni for Celebrating The Summer Solstice with Us and to Everyone who came out to the land to participate in this beautiful tradition! Bo Matum!

Every prayer offered, every meal shared, every log split, every song sung, and every hand extended helps keep this space alive for those seeking healing, connection, and belonging.

🪶 Nature Quest 2026 — The Teachings of the Colibrí

Nature Quest is quickly approaching. This year comes the teachings of the Colibrí — the Hummingbird.

The hummingbird reminds us that wisdom is often earned through life’s challenges. It teaches perseverance, resilience, joy, and the ability to continue seeking the sweetness of life despite hardship.

We currently have:

🌿 2 spaces available for those called to sit on the blanket and pray for their life
🪶 Supporters needed to help hold the ceremonial container
🌲 Work days needed to prepare the land and Quest sites

A Nature Quest is a four-day rite of passage where a seeker enters the woods in solitude, fasting and praying, seeking clarity, healing, purpose, and deeper relationship with Spirit. Supporters will eat, pray, and perform in rituals to help you seek out the prayer for your life!

🌿 Nature Quest Work Weekends — All Are Welcome

As we prepare for Nature Quest and the many ceremonies that will carry us through the remainder of 2026 and into January 2027, we invite all members of our community to join us in tending the land.

These weekends are not only about preparing Quest sites. They are an opportunity to care for the trails, gather materials, split firewood, tend the gardens, beautify sacred spaces, and help prepare the sanctuary for the many prayers, gatherings, lodges, and community events still to come.

🌿 July 31–August 1 — Nature Quest Volunteer Weekend
🌿 August 8–9 — Final Nature Quest Stewardship Weekend

Whether you are a Quester, Supporter, Supporting Member, or someone who loves this land, your helping hands are welcomed and appreciated.

🌿 The Land Is Always Calling

You do not need to wait for an official volunteer day to come tend the land.

If you feel called to help, you are welcome to reach out and schedule a visit. There is always wood to split, gardens to tend, trails to care for, structures to improve, and projects waiting for helping hands.

Remember this is a time for you to learn how to connect with the land which ultimately teaches you how to reconnect to self. Han Hankatu!

The land teaches through relationship. Simply email us and let us know you’d like to come serve.
