June 2026 Newsletter – Taino Woods Sanctuary

June 2026 • Taíno Woods Sanctuary

The Sun Returns to Fullness

Tai Guey Itainos, ☀️

The days are longer now. The fire burns later. The river carries the warmth of the season.

June brings us into fullness — into movement, community, song, and prayer beneath the radiant sun.

This is a season of remembering that we were never meant to walk alone.

☀️ Summer Solstice Gathering — June 20–21

Join us as we welcome the longest day of the year in prayer, movement, purification, song, and community.

This sacred gathering will be guided alongside Behike Miguel Sagué Jr. and M’anawa Kuya Ni from Kiskeya, who will be sharing teachings, ancestral wisdom, and plant relationships rooted in Indigenous ways of remembering. To Learn more about M’anawa and her teachings click here

Together we will gather in ceremony, enter the lodge, dance beneath the Radiant Sun, and if you choose, remain overnight in community for integration and reflection.

The fire will be lit. The songs will rise. The circle is opening.

🌿 Supporting the Community

Congratulations to all the drummers and singers who joined us in the honor of receiving the Areyto Musicians Of the Year! We send a great big HAHOM to the Taino Awards for giving us this high honor in return we promise to continue to help teach Taino & Indigenous language through song and culture!

One of the greatest ways you can support Taíno Woods is simply by helping us spread the word and becoming a Supporting Member for just $10 a month or $99 a year. This allows us to provide give backs to the community who sustains the land and the people.

Please continue sharing our gatherings, newsletters, posts, reels, and events across your social media feeds and with your communities. Every share helps another person find healing, nature, prayer, and connection.

Your voice helps carry the fire farther.

This year we ask our community to help this gathering grow by posting flyers, sharing our event pages, inviting friends, and speaking about the work happening on the land.

We are seeking Vendors, Artisans, Volunteers, Spoken Word Artists, and Sponsors.

We build this together.

🪶 RSVP Early — Help Us Prepare in a Good Way

As our gatherings continue to grow, we are asking our community to RSVP early for ceremonies, lodges, stewardship days, and overnight gatherings.

Early registration allows us to prepare the land, food, firewood, ceremonial supplies, parking, and lodging in a good way for everyone arriving.

Please do not wait until the last minute to let us know you are coming. Your early commitment helps sustain the work and supports the community holding these spaces together.
